We are seeking an experienced Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Senior to support software quality assurance and testing activities across complex technology environments. The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall SDLC methodologies, cloud-based Java technologies, test strategy and planning, defect management, accessibility testing, and quality assurance tools.

Must Have

- 5+ years of QA testing using Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall SDLC methodologies.
- Comprehensive and detailed hands-on testing covering cloud-based Java technologies, including JSON, RESTful Web Services, and HTML5.
- Experience developing plans, executing testing, and producing testing artifacts to assure software quality.
- Experience documenting errors and managing defect tracking.
- Experience creating and implementing test strategies and plans for testing software, debugging code, and enhancing the usability of programs.

Mandatory Technical Skills And Experience

- Minimum 5 years of experience performing quality assurance and testing activities within Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall SDLC environments.
- Experience testing cloud-based applications developed using Java technologies, JSON, RESTful Web Services, and HTML5.
- Proven experience developing and executing test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts, including test execution and reporting artifacts.
- Experience identifying, documenting, tracking, and managing software defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Demonstrated ability to validate business and technical requirements, support debugging activities, and contribute to overall software quality and usability.
- Experience conducting accessibility testing in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), including the use of accessibility testing tools.




- Working knowledge of quality assurance and testing tools, including Azure DevOps and Postman.
- Demonstrated understanding of privacy, security, and confidentiality requirements and compliance with Ontario Public Service (OPS) and Information & Information Technology Strategy (I&ITS;) policies, standards, directives, and governance requirements.

Description The successful candidate will provide senior-level quality assurance and testing services, supporting software quality throughout the development and delivery lifecycle. The role requires strong experience in developing testing strategies, executing comprehensive testing activities, managing defects, validating business and technical requirements, and supporting the delivery of high-quality and usable software solutions. Desirable Technical Skills And Experience

- Experience using approved AI-assisted quality assurance and testing tools to improve testing effectiveness, productivity, quality, and delivery outcomes.
- Experience testing applications or information systems supporting agricultural operations, environmental programs, or soil management solutions.
- Experience testing Esri ArcGIS and Survey123 applications and related geospatial technologies.
- Experience validating integrations involving RESTful APIs, geospatial services, and mapping applications.
- Demonstrated experience delivering quality assurance services within Agile environments, including adapting testing approaches to align with organizational processes, governance requirements, and delivery objectives.
