Raise is currently hiring a Technical Functional Analyst on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client is a market leading financial institution Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Description Technical Functional Analyst will support the API Center for Enablement (C4E) with our "API Product Progression" and "Integration Acceleration" programs. In this role, you will functionally understand API products, development, integration, and security to empower teams to create, market, onboard, and support these vital workstreams.

You will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams, translating complex integration capabilities into intuitive user experiences and clear technical specifications.

Responsibilities

- Subject Matter Expertise: Become a subject matter expert in the API Product lifecycle by understanding the end-to-end business client journey.
- Market Discovery: Conduct market research to support the API Product during the discovery phase of new features and products.
- Data-Driven Insights: Draw actionable insights from data to recommend product enhancements that elevate the user experience.
- Requirements Translation: Coordinate with engineering teams to deliver functional solutions by translating business requirements into formal user stories and technical specifications.
- Agile & Roadmap Management: Manage epics and user stories within JIRA to accurately reflect product strategy and roadmaps while maintaining high team effectiveness.
- Pre-Sales Support:



Support Business Solutions and engineering teams during pre-sales client meetings.
- Client Onboarding: Guide and support business clients through the successful onboarding process onto our API Product suites.
- API Documentation: Update and author Swagger and Open API Specifications.
- Visual Mapping & Collaboration: Document API features, system states, and business processes using Lucid and Confluence.

Qualifications

- 1 to 2 years of professional experience working in a technical or business analyst role.
- Previous hands-on experience working specifically as a Functional Analyst.
- Prior industry experience within digital banking, financial technology (FinTech), or the broader banking sector.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, capable of addressing technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Consultative mindset and strong interpersonal people skills.
- Demonstrated ability to create clear state and process diagrams.
- Ability to work independently and drive deliverables proactively.
- Enthusiastic and naturally curious about optimizing the user experience.
- Proven evidence of data-driven decision-making.
- Education and Certifications
- A degree or diploma in Business, Design, Communications, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related discipline.
- Qualified Certifications (Hiring Manager Preferences)
- Agile / Scrum Certifications:



Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) to highlight proficiency in managing JIRA backlogs and agile epics.
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA).
- Industry-recognized micro-credentials or certifications in RESTful API design, OpenAPI Specification (OAS), or cloud integration frameworks.
