The Opportunity RVS invites applications for a temporary, full-time (40 hrs/wk) Building Operator I Floater Position(s) to service all areas (based on the needs of the division - mornings or afternoons must be flexible); starting immediately and ending June 30, 2027.

Responsibilities Include

Engages actively in janitorial duties, including cleaning of the school and the grounds (90% of this position is cleaning)

Reports any defects, damages, or loss of school property to the Head Building Operator

May coordinate cleaning duties of caretakers

Ensures temperatures in the school building are maintained during the shift





Checks on the proper operation of heating, plumbing, and electrical systems; reports any problems promptly to the Head Building Operator

Security duties as assigned

Assists the HBO in orientation and training of new employees and relief help

Education/Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent

1-3 years’ previous experience in a supervisory role, preferable in a Caretaking setting

3-5 years previous caretaking/cleaning experience Knowledge/Skills

Working knowledge of proper cleaning procedures

Ability to successfully work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision

Effective supervisory skills, including training, and delegating

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient on Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications

As this is a temporary position, there are no benefits or sick time
