We’re looking for a mature, reliable, organized and proactive family assistant to help our household 3 afternoons/evenings per week, approximately 2:00–8:00 PM.

This role is ideal for someone who is genuinely positive with children—warm, patient, engaging and confident—but who also enjoys keeping a household organized and running smoothly. We are specifically looking for someone who can work independently, notice what needs to be done, learn our routines quickly, and take initiative without needing constant direction.

Responsibilities would include:

- Laundry from start to finish: wash, dry, fold and put away
- Ironing clothes as needed
- Light household tidying and organization
- Kitchen reset, dishwasher and general cleanup
- Meal prep and food preparation
- Organizing cupboards, drawers, closets and household spaces as needed
- Preparing snacks and helping with our daughter after school
- Supervising homework/reading and play
- Engaging our daughter in age-appropriate activities and conversation
- Helping with dinner and evening routines
- Keeping our daughter’s school items, clothing and belongings organized
- General household tasks during times when I take our daughter to extracurricular activities





Our daughter is almost 6 and comes home around 4:30 PM. I will often be home or nearby, but I also need someone I can fully trust to care for her independently and stay in our home alone when needed.

The right person is:

- Mature, dependable and trustworthy
- Excellent with children and genuinely enjoys spending time with them
- Warm, patient and emotionally steady
- Highly organized
- A quick learner
- Naturally proactive and able to prioritize tasks independently
- Comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities rather than waiting for step-by-step instructions
- Respectful of privacy and comfortable working in a family home
- Interested in a longer-term position

Previous nanny, family assistant, household management or similar experience is strongly preferred. References are required. First Aid/CPR is an asset.
