Our client is a publicly traded cannabis-infused beverage manufacturer with core operations across Canada and the United States. Over the past year to eighteen months, the business went through a significant transformation, including winding down legacy international operations, and has come out the other side with a sharper commercial focus, an improved cost structure, and five consecutive months of positive EBITDA.

It holds a meaningful share of the Canadian THC-infused beverage market, built on a stable base of long-term contract customers, and continues to grow its U.S. beverage business.

Our client has done the hard part and is now entering its next phase of growth. They're looking for a finance leader who's energized by building rather than maintaining, someone who wants to walk into a function that needs to be architected from the ground up and make it their own.

The Vice President of Finance will provide overall leadership of the Company's global finance function and serve as a key strategic partner to the CEO, Board of Directors and senior leadership team.

The VP will be responsible for ensuring the Company has the financial structure, people, systems, controls and reporting capabilities required to meet its public-company obligations and support continued growth.

A key initial priority will be to assess and restructure the finance function from end to end. This includes reviewing the current team and organizational structure, establishing clear roles and accountability, documenting and standardizing financial processes and controls, improving the quality and timeliness of reporting, optimizing systems, and building a strong, high-performing finance team.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring someone who can build, improve and execute while providing the strategic financial leadership expected of a VP of a publicly traded company.

The ideal candidate will have experience in cannabis, CPG, food & beverage, manufacturing or a similar fast-paced and highly dynamic industry. They will be comfortable operating in an environment where priorities can move quickly, deadlines are firm and the finance function must consistently deliver accurate and timely information under pressure.

The Company's Board of Directors is based in Australia. The VP must be comfortable working across international time zones, with evening and occasional weekend availability required for Board, Committee and other key meetings.

Assess, restructure and strengthen the finance function.

Ensure the department has the right organizational structure, capabilities and resources to support the business.

Build, develop and lead a strong, accountable and high-performing finance team.

Establish explicit roles, responsibilities, ownership and accountability across Finance.

Develop, document and standardize financial policies,



processes, procedures and controls.

Improve the accuracy, quality and timeliness of financial reporting and analysis.

Drive continuous improvement, automation and optimization of financial systems and processes.

ASX Reporting & Governance:

Ensure appropriate financial reporting, governance and internal control frameworks are maintained for an ASX-listed public company.

Oversee statutory, regulatory, Board and ASX financial reporting requirements.

Ensure financial information supporting public disclosures is accurate, timely and appropriately controlled.

Lead external audit and tax processes and maintain strong year-round audit readiness.

Work closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, Board Committees, auditors and external advisors.

Present consolidated financial performance, forecasts, risks and recommendations to the Board and senior leadership.

Oversee accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, treasury, tax and financial risk management for global group

Strengthen budgeting, costing, forecasting, KPI reporting and financial analysis to improve visibility and decision-making.

Maintain strong internal controls and financial discipline across the organization.

Drive improvements in profitability, cash flow, working capital and cost management.

Optimize the Company's ERP and financial systems to improve efficiency, controls and data visibility.

Ensure financial processes and systems are scalable across the Company's Canadian, U.S. and broader corporate

Strategic & Commercial Leadership:

Act as a key financial and strategic advisor to the CEO, Board and senior leadership team.

Provide financial insight and challenge to support strategic and operational decision-making.

Support the Company's growth strategy, including continued expansion in the U.S.

Provide financial leadership for capital allocation, financing, investment decisions and potential M&A; opportunities.

Ensure the finance function continues to evolve alongside the growth and complexity of the business.

Education & Experience:

10+ years of progressive senior finance experience, including significant finance leadership responsibility.

Public company experience strongly preferred

Demonstrated experience transforming, restructuring or building a finance function and high-performing finance team.

Experience within cannabis, CPG, food & beverage, manufacturing or another rapid-paced operational environment strongly preferred.

Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, treasury and financial analysis experience.





Strong understanding of financial governance, internal controls, audit and regulatory requirements.

Experience presenting to and working directly with Boards of Directors and senior executives.

Experience with ERP systems and financial process optimization; Epicor experience is an asset.

Experience supporting international operations, business growth and/or M&A; is an asset.

Strong leadership, communication and change-management capabilities.

Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure, manage competing priorities and consistently deliver against hard deadlines.

Highly adaptable and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic and evolving business environment.

Willingness to be hands-on and work at both the strategic and operational level when required.

Ability and willingness to work across international time zones, including evening and occasional weekend meetings with the Australian-based Board and other stakeholders.

The VP's initial mandate will be to assess, restructure and strengthen the finance function from end to end - putting in place the right people, structure, processes, documentation, systems, controls and reporting to support the requirements of an ASX-listed public company and the Company's next stage of growth.

The successful candidate will be expected to establish a finance function that is disciplined, accountable, scalable and capable of delivering accurate, timely and meaningful financial information in a fast-moving public-company environment.

Compensation Package:
Salary: $150,000- $180,000 CAD (dependent on experience)
