Come work as a General Internal Medicine Physician with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!
Richmond Hospital is seeking a part-time General Internal Medicine specialist to provide services to a geriatric population in a team-based model with support from Geriatrics and Geri Psychiatry on a dedicated Acute Care of the Elderly (ACE) unit.

The successful applicant will become a member of the Department of Internal Medicine and will be required to participate in a call rota.

32 bed unit staffed by 2 internists and an NP

Work includes ward wounds, new admissions, allied health care rounds, liaising with specialists

Scheduled 10h shifts, (0700-1700 or 0800-1800) typically scheduled 7 days at a time Mon-Sun (with flexibility)

Some expected home/night call compensated separately on MOCAP

Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) - Full

Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) - Eligible

Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - Mandatory

As per Ministry of Health policy, all health care workers working in publicly-funded health care facilities are required to report their past receipt of certain vaccines or history of certain infections. Collecting these records will allow for offering of any missing vaccines,



and for appropriate actions to be taken in the event of any future exposure to a communicable disease or during outbreaks.

For all new hires and appointments to Vancouver Coastal Health, you will be asked to provide this information as part of the onboarding process.
