Step up to a critical position with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority as a Lead Geotechnical Engineering Specialist. Oversee a team of experts in assessing and mitigating erosion hazards critical to public safety.

This position focuses on geotechnical engineering within the Geoenvironmental Services team. As a Senior Engineer, you will conduct comprehensive risk assessments aligning with TRCA policies. Your responsibilities include liaising with applicants and agencies while facilitating project coordination. You will contribute to the training of team members and actively participate in legal hearings related to permit applications.

Key Responsibilities:



• Conduct thorough reviews of engineering documentation • Assist in defining development limits based on erosion assessments • Create review process guidelines for the engineering team • Coordinate with stakeholders on project submissions • Engage in legal proceedings related to geotechnical issues

Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Civil (Geotechnical) Engineering • Licensed Skilled Engineer, Ontario • Minimum of 5 years geotechnical experience • 2+ years in leadership roles • Expertise in slope stability modelling software and reports
