As an accomplished corporate leader, you will be the cornerstone of Optima Aero’s operational excellence and quality governance. Accountable for defining and driving our strategic direction in quality, compliance, and continuous improvement, you will inspire a culture of uncompromising rigor and shared ownership across our three international sites (Canada, United States, France). Balancing corporate governance with grounded site operations, you will oversee quality functions at our Beloeil facility while leading through influence and coaching across local quality teams. Amid rapid growth, your leadership will uphold the highest standards of aviation safety and regulatory integrity, advancing our sustainable circular economy model on a global scale.

What You'll Do In this strategic and impactful leadership role, you will be responsible for:

Corporate Strategy & Roadmap:

Setting the multi-year quality vision, policies, standards, annual objectives, and corporate roadmap across all three operating sites.

Multi-Site Governance:

Leading through influence, structured governance reviews, and coaching while reinforcing local ownership among site Quality Managers.

Beloeil Site Quality Operations:

Directly leading the Beloeil quality team and site operations, ensuring seamless alignment with corporate standards and shop-floor MRO priorities.

Performance Management & Analytics:

Establishing standardized KPIs, executive dashboards, data governance, and risk management routines to anticipate trends and drive proactive decisions.

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight:

Maintaining proactive corporate oversight of all aerospace and environmental standards (AS/EN 9100, ISO 9001, Transport Canada, FAA, EASA, controlled goods, and export controls).

Audit Leadership:





Leading multi-site readiness and flawless execution for internal, customer, certification, and regulatory audits, ensuring robust and evidence-based corrective action closures.

Quality Escalations & Prevention:

Driving corporate containment, root-cause analyses, and systemic problem-solving (8D, RCCA, NCRs, CARs, customer complaints, and Cost of Poor Quality).

Continuous Improvement & Quality Culture:

Instilling a company-wide quality culture where quality is embraced as an operational standard, while spearheading the annual Continuous Improvement (CI) deployment.

Strategic Growth Enablement:

Providing robust quality governance for expanding capabilities (component repair, engineering developments, tooling, technical data, facility enhancements, and acquisitions).

What We're Looking For To succeed in this role, you should have:

Proven Aerospace Experience:

10+ years of progressive leadership experience in aerospace quality and environmental management, including full ownership of a QMS or critical quality processes. Multi‑site, multi‑business unit, or multi‑entity experience is strongly preferred.

Educational Background:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related discipline (or equivalent senior aerospace leadership experience).

Aviation MRO & Technical Acumen:





Deep familiarity with aviation Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), component repairs, aircraft engines, and aircraft technical records under regulatory scrutiny.

Standards & Certifications:

Hands‑on mastery of AS/EN 9100 and ISO 9001 standards. Solid working knowledge of AS9110, AS9120, Transport Canada, FAA, EASA regulations, Controlled Goods, and export controls is a strong asset.

Continuous Improvement Mastery:

Robust proficiency in structured continuous improvement methodologies and tools (8D, RCCA, Fishbone, 5 Whys, containment, and effectiveness verification). Lean / Six Sigma certification is a distinct advantage.

Leadership & Influence:

Pragmatic, structured leader with high emotional intelligence, capable of challenging risks, influencing without direct authority, and communicating effectively with executive leadership and operational staff.

Mobility:

Readiness and ability to travel frequently between Optima Aero’s three sites and occasionally to customer, supplier, partner, or regulatory locations.
