From September 2026 through June 2027, you will work with underserved youth in Northern Alberta, providing percussion lessons and mentoring. Your creativity and adaptability are essential for connecting with students and the community, including initiatives at Alexander First Nation, ensuring a rich learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver weekly music instruction for percussion to students
• Coordinate rehearsals and public performances
• Support students academically and during snack times
• Collaborate with YONA staff to meet program objectives
• Cultivate positive relationships within the community
Requirements:
• Advanced training in percussion music
• Teaching experience with youth preferred
• Post-secondary music education or performance background
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, rapid-paced setting
