We are currently hiring a Day Camp Counselor for the Recreation and Leisure Department.Role:The senior day camp instructor is responsible for planning, leading, and participating in activities for children and young people aged 5 to 14. The counselor must follow safety procedures to ensure children's well-being during camp activities and attend training sessions to apply learned principles throughout the summer.Schedule:Monday to Friday35 to 40 hours per weekJune to AugustKey Responsibilities:Plan, participate in, and supervise day camp activities for groups of young people,



applying department rules and presenting a positive image.Report to the leader or coordinator.Collaborate with junior leaders and encourage their active participation.Ensure the safety of the group and outdoor activities outside scheduled times.Develop protected and stimulating activities.Present a weekly activity plan.Maintain hygiene standards for children.Ensure inclusive participation for all children.Regularly meet with and inform parents.Attend pre-season training sessions.Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:Bilingual proficiency.High School Diploma – Grade V or equivalent.Note:The masculine gender is used for simplicity and does not imply gender preference.
