Role Description:

The Service Writer/Parts Advisor is a full time, on-site role based at Big O Tires Port Kells in Port Kells Langley, BC. This position is responsible for greeting customers, answering phone calls, and understanding vehicle concerns to create accurate service estimates and work orders. Daily tasks include recommending appropriate services and parts, coordinating with technicians on repair status and micro-managing labor time and overall monitoring the technicians time management on all Tire and Mechanical repairs thoroughly, and communicating these timelines and costs to customers throughout. The role also involves sourcing and ordering parts, maintaining inventory accuracy, processing payments, and documenting services in the shop’s computer systems.



The Service Writer/Parts Advisor supports a positive customer experience by ensuring clear communication, timely updates, and professional follow-up on completed work and delegate as a supervisor/leader role while managing the front counter and monitoring that there are no conflicts or delays with the servicing completions on day to day agenda.

Qualifications:

- Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service, Customer Satisfaction, and professional Phone Etiquette.
- Effective Communication skills, both verbal and written, to explain services, timelines, and costs clearly.
- Solid Computer Literacy for managing service orders, inventory, and customer records in digital systems.
- Previous experience in automotive service writing, parts advising, or a related retail/service environment is an asset.
- Basic understanding of automotive systems and parts, with willingness to learn and follow technical guidance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment, multitask, and prioritize workload with close attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual, with a collaborative approach to working with technicians and other team members.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional automotive or customer service training is beneficial.
- Valid Driver's License is Required.

Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 Per hour (Experience is Required) TBD / Plus Benefits

Schedule: Full - Time / Mon - Fri. 37.50 - 40 hours per week / and Saturdays as needed
