POSITION: Executive DirectorJOB TYPE: Full TimeLOCATION: Grande Prairie, AlbertaSALARY/WAGE: Starting at $75,000 (commensurate with experience)CLOSING DATE: June 5, 2026 or until suitable candidate is foundJOB SUMMARYThe Agency is assisting the Centre for Creative Arts in Grande Prairie in the recruitment of an Executive Director to oversee operations, programs, and strategic direction. Celebrating over 30 years in the community, the Centre for Creative Arts continues to be a hub for creativity, connection, and cultural expression. This is an exciting opportunity for a leader who can honour the organization's strong foundation while guiding its continued balance and growth into the future. Working closely with the Board, the Executive Director will lead operations, support staff and volunteers, and ensure the delivery of high-quality programs that align with the Centre's vision. This role is ideal for a team-oriented and forward-thinking leader who is both strategic and hands‑on, with a passion for community impact and sustainable growth.RESPONSIBILITIESLead the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and servicesEnsure programs align with organizational policies, priorities, and strategic directionOversee day-to-day operations and ensure effective service deliveryManage financial operations including budgeting, reporting, and adherence to GAAP principlesPrepare and present accurate financial reports including monthly and annual statementsCollaborate with external accounting support for year-end financials and auditsRecruit, hire, supervise, and evaluate staff, volunteers, and contractorsSupport staff development through onboarding, training,



and performance managementFoster a positive, collaborative, and creative workplace cultureProvide leadership in team development and organizational capacity buildingSupport the Board with policy development, implementation, and reportingIdentify gaps and opportunities for policy development and improvementParticipate in and lead strategic planning initiativesDevelop operational and business plans aligned with organizational goalsMonitor performance, resources, and outcomes, adjusting plans as neededEngage with community stakeholders, partners, and arts organizationsREQUIREMENTSUniversity or College degree in a related field or equivalent experience3–5 years of management or leadership experience considered an assetStrong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and reporting practicesExperience working with Boards, governance structures, or non‑profit organizations is an assetDemonstrated leadership and team development skillsExcellent communication and relationship-building abilitiesStrong organizational and strategic planning skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environmentKnowledge of human resource practices including recruitment and performance managementPassion for arts, culture, and community engagementBENEFITSCompetitive wagesHealth benefitsMeaningful role connecting community, creativity, and cultural developmentEEO STATEMENTWe are committed to an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workforce.
