This role involves operating various types of trucks, including cargo trucks and delivery vans, to transport items to and from different airport locations. You will load and unload cargo, ensure that items are secured properly for transport, and follow established delivery schedules. Additionally, this position requires conducting routine vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues, and adhering to safety regulations and traffic rules. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the timely and secure transportation of essential items for airport operations.RESPONSIBILITIESSafely operate various types of trucks and vehicles used in airport operations: Ensure the secure transportation of goods and equipment on and around the airport premisesAdhere to all traffic and airport safety regulations: Follow strict guidelines to maintain safety standards while driving within the airportPerform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections: Conduct thorough checks to ensure the vehicle is in proper working conditionTransport goods, equipment, and personnel as required: Efficiently move materials and staff to designated locationsMaintain accurate logs of travel and cargo: Keep detailed records of routes, timings, and cargo details as per regulatory requirementsCoordinate with airport staff for loading and unloading:



Assist in the careful handling of goods during loading and unloading processesRespond to dispatch instructions for transport tasks: React promptly and effectively to transportation requests from airport operationsEnsure timely delivery of cargo: Adhere to schedules to avoid delays in airport operationsMaintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle: Keep the truck clean and report any maintenance needsComply with airport security procedures: Follow all security protocols for vehicle operation within the airportNavigate through different areas of the airport: Familiarize with various airport zones for efficient transportationReport any incidents or safety concerns: Immediately communicate any accidents or safety hazards encountered during operationsParticipate in safety briefings and training: Engage in regular training sessions to stay updated on safety practicesAssist in emergency situations if required: Be prepared to support airport operations in case of emergenciesAdapt to varying work schedules: Be flexible to work different hours, including nights and weekends, as per airport operational needsExemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standardsPerform any additional duties as assigned by managementQUALIFICATIONS18 years of age or olderEligible to work in CanadaMust possess a valid, provincially issued permanent driver’s license (e.G., Class 5 or Class G)Must hold a current Transport Canada RAIC and a valid DA AVOP certification.Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)Commercial driver's license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements requiredMinimum of 2 years of experience in commercial truck drivingKnowledge of safety regulations and cargo securing proceduresPhysical stamina for loading and unloading cargoAbility to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile DevicesEffectively communicate with colleagues and clients,
