From no-bake treats for younger campers to more advanced recipes for older groups, keep activities fresh and engaging.Organize, manage, and maintain equipment and supplies; regularly monitorto ensure proper working order and safety.Coordinate with the Program Director to order and restock supplies during summer operations and complete end-of-season inventories for next year.Join all staff in the morning and afternoon to welcome campers during arrival and departure.May also plan and lead an activity or help with a cookout one or two evenings (after regular camp hours) during the summer.Standard Staff ExpectationsActively create a welcoming energetic that values and respects everyone.Participate as an essential team member and attend staff meetings as required.Support JCC Greater Boston’s mission and values, modeling belonging, joyfulness, collaboration,



and transformation.Represent the organization with professionalism and enthusiasm.Complete payroll, onboarding, and pre-camp training on schedule.Attend pre-camp orientations (virtual and in-person) and complete required modules.Other duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesProvide direction, guidance, mentorship, feedback, and supervision of assistant(s) as needed.Foster an environment where employees can achieve goals and grow professionally.Maintain positive working relationships to achieve outcomes and continued growth of direct reports.Conduct mid-summer and end-of-summer evaluations of assistants and provide recommendations for re-hire.Uphold organizational policies and align work with the mission, vision, and strategic objectives; report issues to the Specialist Supervisor or Program Director.Job DetailsWe are an outdoor camp located on wooded property in Dover, MA. Regular camp day: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday for the season. Specialists may be required to attend 4 staff meetings on Mondays and a Sunday Family Day on select dates. The role may include evenings for activities or family events.Offering perks including access to the JCC Fitness Center and a competitive starting pay rate of $16 per hour. Pay is determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.Minimum Education and ExperienceHigh school graduates strongly preferred.Experience leading children in your subject area is a plus,
