North East Outreach and Support Services Inc. is looking for a dedicated worker to assist women and children fleeing interpersonal violence. Applicants should possess a minimum of Grade 12 education alongside two years of relevant experience. Ideal candidates will exhibit strong crisis management skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide emotional and logistical support to residents
• Foster a nurturing and respectful shelter environment
• Address and manage crises as they arise
• Record interactions and maintain accurate documentation
• Effectively juggle multiple responsibilities during shifts
Requirements:
• Minimum Grade 12 education needed
• Up to 2 years experience in human services required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Adaptable availability for evenings and weekends
• Deep understanding of interpersonal violence issues
