OverviewThe Woodfibre LNG Project is located approximately 7 km west-southwest of Squamish, British Columbia. It involves the construction and operation of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on the previous Woodfibre pulp mill site, which would have a storage capacity of 250,000 m3 and would produce approximately 2.1 million tons per year of LNG. Woodfibre Management Ltd. is a privately held Canadian company based in Vancouver and a subsidiary of Pacific Energy Corporation Limited.PositionTheSenior Planneris an integral part of Woodfibre LNG's dynamic team. You will be responsible for managing the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) Contractor on behalf of the Company to ensure that all project activities are planned, scheduled, and executed in alignment with the Company's objectives and contractual requirements. This role involves developing comprehensive project plans, monitoring progress, and ensuring all project milestones and deadlines are met. The Senior Planner will work closely with the Company, EPC contractor, project managers, stakeholders, and team members to coordinate efforts, manage resources, and drive successful project outcomes. The successful candidate reports directly to the Project Controls Manager and will play an essential part in supporting the Company's engineering and senior management team through the project's construction phase.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, including tasks, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with the company's overall project timeline and objectivesCollaborate closely with EPC contractors to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and identify the necessary resources for task completionTrack project progress, monitor deviations from the schedule,



and update project plans to reflect any changes in scope, timeline, or resourcesPrepare and present regular status reports to company and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communicationIdentify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate risk management plans to company and EPC contractorsFacilitate regular project meetings to ensure effective coordination among team members and EPC contractorsFoster effective communication and collaboration across project teams, addressing any resource constraints or issues, and ensuring optimal utilization of personnel, equipment, and materialsOversee the EPC contractor's resource management and compliance with project requirements, including conducting regular reviews and audits to ensure quality and adherence to contractual obligations, industry standards, and project requirementsAddress non-compliance issues promptly and effectively, and evaluate project planning and scheduling processes to recommend improvements and incorporate best practices and lessons learned from previous projectsStay current with industry trends and advancements in project planning and scheduling to continuously enhance project management practicesRequirementsRequired Experience:Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, business administration, or a related fieldProven experience in project planning,



scheduling, and management, involving EPC contractors, controls with heavy budgeting, cost forecasting, change management, cost estimating, scheduling and risk management experience15+ years of project experience in major capital projects in the oil and gas industry, LNG project experience a plusProficiency in project management software and tools (e.G., MS Project, Primavera, PRISM, etc.)Solid analytical and problem-solving skillsPMP or other relevant project management certification is a plusAdditional RequirementsExperience working with large multi-disciplinary teams and contractors in a multicultural environment is an assetCommunication/interpersonal skills - interacting with front-line workers through to management and all hierarchical levelsAccepts responsibility and demonstrates a commitment to the delivery of tasks and targetsAbility to be Innovative and vision-oriented with demonstrated ability to undertake strategic planning and implementationAbility to work well under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and change priorities within tight time framesAbility to work collaboratively within a team environmentMotivated and willing to take ownership of tasksEnergetic in pursuit of continuous improvement processesShares knowledge readily and encourages personal developmentMust be legally entitled to work in CanadaThe position is based in Squamish, BC (Project Site), with visits to the Company's Vancouver Office as required.Only qualified candidates legally entitled to work in Canada will be contacted.Woodfibre Management Ltd. is an equal opportunity employer.Thank you in advance for your interest!BenefitsSalary range: CAD 140,000 - 160,000 /yr#J-18808-Ljbffr
