This role is designed for practicing lawyers skilled in family, estate, immigration, civil, or criminal law. You will interact with clients through workshops and one-on-one sessions. In addition to legal knowledge, you will use your empathetic communication skills to assist clients sensitively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individualized legal advice to clients
• Conduct workshops on navigating the legal system
• Ensure client confidentiality at all times
• Collaborate with team members at the Women’s Centre
• Facilitate clients’ understanding of their legal options
Requirements:
• Active practice in relevant areas of law
• Membership in the Alberta Bar Association
• Commitment of at least two hours monthly
• Empathetic listening and solid communication skills
• Familiarity with social issues affecting clients
