OverviewHarbinger Network is seeking a relationship-driven Customer Relationship Manager to support the continued growth of a well-established structural steel fabrication organization. Reporting directly to the Vice President/President, this role is responsible for maintaining strong relationships with existing clients while identifying new business opportunities within the construction industry. The successful candidate will work closely with contractors, developers, and project teams involved in industrial, commercial, and institutional (ICI) construction projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building long-term partnerships, identifying opportunities early in the project cycle, and positioning their organization as a trusted construction partner.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain robust relationships with contractors, developers, and industry stakeholdersMaintain regular communication with key clients to support long-term partnerships and repeat businessRepresent the company at meetings, job sites, and industry eventsBusiness DevelopmentIdentify upcoming development opportunities through industry sources, planning applications, and construction publicationsResearch market activity using platforms such as industry news sites, planning portals, and LinkedInConduct outreach to prospective clients through networking, cold calls, and relationship-building activitiesTender & Project Pipeline ManagementWork closely with the estimating team to identify and prioritize tender opportunitiesReview tender requests and participate in weekly estimating meetingsFollow up on submitted bids and maintain communication with contractors throughout the bidding processSupport final negotiations and contract discussions as projects move toward awardContract & Project CoordinationAssist with contract reviews and documentation during the negotiation processCoordinate with project managers and contractors to help establish project schedulesSupport the preparation of documentation required for project executionSupplier & Market CoordinationMaintain strong relationships with steel suppliers and specialty manufacturers such as joist and deck providersSupport coordination of material purchases with the estimating teamMonitor steel market trends and material cost fluctuations that impact project pricingInternal CollaborationWork closely with estimating, project management, and senior leadership teamsEnsure project opportunities align with production capacity and business prioritiesMaintain accurate records of client activity and sales data in the company CRM systemIndustry EngagementThe Customer Relationship Manager will play an active role in representing the company within the construction industry by attending networking events, association meetings, and industry functions. Participation in organizations such as the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC), the Grand Valley Construction Association (GVCA), and similar groups is encouraged.Travel & Work EnvironmentThis position includes a combination of office-based work and travel to client meetings, job sites, and industry events.Primary travel territory includes:Greater Toronto Area (west of Yonge Street)Southwestern Ontario through WindsorQualificationsMinimum 3 years of experience in the construction or structural steel industry, ideally in an estimating capacityProven ability to build and maintain strong client relationshipsStrong communication, negotiation,
