We take pride in our culture of learning, ownership, and one team, and are committed to cultivating a diverse and inclusive workplace for everyone.ScheduleFriday - Sunday, 6:30am to 7:00pmSkills & Knowledge RequirementsAbility to follow direct to minimal supervision in a positive team environment.Productive handling methods for material.Ability to use power saws and nail guns.Willingness to fully understand the Metrie Canada quality standards.Proactive ability to make use of machine down time by supporting the area and the operator.Punctuality and virtually non‑existent absenteeism.Positive desire for continuous improvement.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesUse the proper tools to meet the specific job requirements.Ensure quality products are produced and continually reduce material scrap.Monitor machine operations to ensure product quality and consistency.Inspect finished products to maintain high standards of quality.Maintain accurate production documents and report discrepancies.Participate in training sessions for new equipment or processes.Communicate with supervisors about equipment performance and issues.Ensure production timelines are met at or below standard cost.Produce products to exact specifications.Stack lifts with proper spacing and height requirements.Read, understand and follow all Safe Work Practices and Procedures for machinery and equipment.Promote teamwork within area and willingness to assist other areas during downtime.Clean up area of dust and debris.Measure products according to both the metric and imperial systems and be familiar with conversion between the two systems.Work in an environment with dust and paint.Stand for long periods of time.What You’ll EnjoyRate: $20.00/hour; if employee worksall three scheduled days per week, 4 extra paid hours will be added on top.Working for a well‑established leader in the industry.Benefits: health, dental and vision.RRSP and DPSP programs.Diversity & InclusionMetrie embraces diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive environment where all team members and customers belong.
