Shape young skaters' futures as an instructor or assistant in our Learn to Skate and Learn Hockey programs for ages 3-12. This is a part-time contract position at local arenas.
Instructors must be over 18 and possess relevant coaching or skating experience. Assisting roles welcome applicants with limited experience, including teenagers seeking job exposure. A clean Criminal Record Check is mandatory, funded by the West Zone Board post-hiring.
Key Responsibilities: • Teach skating skills to children aged 3-12 • Assist with organizing and instructing group classes • Promote protected skating practices during sessions • Prepare equipment and materials for classes • Commit to Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon schedules
Requirements: • Candidates must be at least 18 for instructor roles • Background in hockey or ice skating is advantageous • Limited experience acceptable for assistant applicants • Clean Criminal Record Check required • Availability for early winter sessions from October to December
