The Registered Practical Nurse works under the direction of and in conjunction with other regulated health care professional members of the team.



The RPN participates in service and hospital-wide activities and programs that model and promote a safe and healthy patient-centered environment and that contribute to quality improvement and risk management initiatives.Requirements:Education and Experience:A Registered Practical Nurse currently registered with College of Nurses of OntarioPreference will be given to those individuals who have had related client/patient care experience in an acute care or emergency care environment and have successfully worked as a member of a workplace teamPreference given to those with 2 or more years of current acute care experienceValid BCLS and maintained throughout employmentMember of RPNAO preferredEmergency Nursing Certificate PreferredSkills and Abilities:Demonstrated competence in full scope of RPN practiceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong interpersonal and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and also function effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in a quick-paced environmentDemonstrated flexibility, adaptability, creativity and ability to prioritizeDemonstrated ability to relate in a tactful and sensitive manner with patients, visitors, staff and volunteersGood attendance and availability required#J-18808-Ljbffr
