Junior UX/UI Designer

Location: Ontario, Canada

Job Type: Contract

We are looking for a Junior UX/UI Designer to support the design of user-friendly and accessible web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with user research, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, and UI design .

Key Responsibilities
Support UX/UI projects from research and discovery through design, prototyping, testing, and delivery .
Conduct user research, interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
Create user flows, journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes .
Participate in UX workshops and stakeholder alignment sessions.
Design responsive experiences for web, mobile, and multiple devices .
Gather user feedback and iterate designs to improve usability.
Collaborate with developers, QA, business users, and stakeholders .




Prepare design documentation and communicate design concepts clearly.

Must-Have Skills
2+ years of UX/UI, Interaction Design, Product Design, or similar experience.
Experience designing web and mobile applications .
Knowledge of user research and usability testing .
Experience with wireframes, user flows, journey maps, mockups, and prototypes.
Proficiency with Figma, Canvas, or similar tools .
Understanding of accessibility and WCAG 2.1 AA .
Basic knowledge of the Ontario Design System and Digital Service Standard .
Solid communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have
Ontario Government / Public Sector experience.
Experience with legacy systems .
Experience designing accessible digital services.
