Horstman Canada (Formerly Known as General Kinetics) is a leading manufacturer of suspension systems for large vehicles. We utilize processes such as tube cutting and forming, rod machining, heat treating, grinding, pressing, welding, assembly and painting. We design and fabricate all of our own tooling.

Horstman Canada is located in Brampton in the Steeles / Bramalea road area. We have plenty of free parking and are a few-minutes' walk to the nearest bus stop and the Bramalea GO station. We offer competitive salary and an excellent perks package.

Who we’re looking for

We are seeking an experienced Tool and Die maker to work in our Manufacturing Engineering department alongside other skilled trades.

Job function
Set up and operate milling machines, lathes, drill presses, surface grinders and other toolroom type equipment.
Interpret engineering tool drawings and functional requirements.
Assist with troubleshooting and repairing of existing tools and dies.
Measure machined parts using metric and imperial devices




Disassemble and assemble to design specifications.
Perform other duties as required.

Requirements
Possess minimum 5 years of direct practical machining experience
Completed High School Diploma in related field
Additional educational credential relating to machining would be considered an asset.
Prefer you bring your own tool box and essential tools. (Replacement and specialized tools will be provided by Horstman Canada)
A successful background check will be required.

Pay Range This is a full time completely on-site position with benefits. Overtime is not common and has to be approved by the supervisor.

Industrial Machinist : $30/hr - $35/hr
