Montesanto Bakery is a traditional Italian bakery with a modern twist, offering fresh bread, pastries, hot table meals, and deli items. We are currently looking for a dependable and hardworking Assistant Cook to join our kitchen team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced workplace and is passionate about food preparation and quality.

Responsibilities
Assist with preparation of hot table meals and deli items
Perform basic food prep (chopping, portioning, assembling)
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and prep areas
Follow recipes and ensure consistency in quality and presentation
Assist with inventory, restocking, and receiving deliveries
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
Support kitchen team during busy service periods

Requirements




Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred
Experience with Italian cuisine is an asset
Ability to work in a fast-paced setting
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Reliable, punctual, and organized
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
