We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a full-time, on-site Accountant in Public Practice position at our offices in Edmonton and Sherwood Park, AB. Below are the details for the job posting:

Job Title: Accountant in Public Practice

Location: In office (Edmonton and Sherwood Park, AB)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26 – $32 per hour

As an Accountant/Reviewer, you will work closely with the Principal Accountant and team members to deliver high-quality tax and accounting services. Key responsibilities include:
Reviewing bookkeeping and preparing financial information and statements.
Preparing corporate and preparing/reviewing individual tax returns.
Preparing monthly payroll and PD7A.
Preparing and filing GST returns.
Handling CRA audits, GST reviews, and other tax inquiries.
Proactively identifying tax planning opportunities for clients.
Collaborating with clients and team members to achieve organizational goals and maintain robust client relationships.

Qualifications:




Commerce graduate (Canadian or international degree).
3+ years of experience in public practice with solid tax and accounting expertise.
Strong knowledge of Canadian Accounting Standards and Tax Compliance.
Proficiency with QuickBooks, QBO, TaxPrep/Profile, Sage, MS Word, and Excel.
Excellent communication skills and commitment to exceptional client service.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a team environment.
