Join Our Team as an Automation Project Specialist at Johnson Electric! Location: Ancaster, ON (onsite). Salary Range: $80K-$95K annually. Vacancy Type: Existing position.What You’ll Be Doing:Program, debug, and commission PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and motion systems.Troubleshoot and optimize robotic cells, including vision and force monitoring systems.Support design, build, and startup of automation equipment and assembly lines.Modify existing production equipment and develop new automation solutions.Configure industrial communication networks (Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, etc.).Develop or modify LabVIEW-based programs for automation systems.Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams during design and implementation.Support equipment commissioning at customer sites and provide technical support.Prepare technical documentation including manuals, setup procedures, and schematics.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance.What We’re Looking For:Technical diploma or degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.5+ years of experience in an automation or controls environment.Expert knowledge of PLC programming (Omron NJ, Allen Bradley).Experience with robot programming (Fanuc, Yaskawa,
