Duties
Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and organizing ingredients to support meal assembly
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment to uphold food safety standards
Help with food handling procedures, ensuring proper storage and labeling of ingredients
Support cooking activities under supervision, including basic meal assembly and plating
Ensure the kitchen area is organized, stocked, and ready for service at all times
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently during all food handling and preparation processes
Serve as a team player by supporting other staff members during busy service hours
Experience
Previous experience working in a restaurant or food service workplace is preferred but not required
Familiarity with cooking techniques and meal preparation processes is advantageous
Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures is highly valued
Experience in food industry roles that involve serving or assisting in a kitchen setting will be beneficial
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
