Qualifications
Meets the staffing qualifications according to the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021 and the Regulations
A current Criminal Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector
Evidence of Tuberculosis screening
Must be able to perform all essential duties of the position with or without accommodation, which may include bending, pushing, pulling, lifting and repetitive movements
Responsibilities
Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing and facility linens in accordance with established procedures and infection prevention and control (IPAC) standards
Operate laundry equipment (washers, dryers, carts) safely
Ensure proper separation of soiled, contaminated, and clean items to prevent cross-contamination
Work collaboratively with all departments to support resident care and comfort
