Inside Sales/Warehouse Material Handler
- - We are currently looking to fill a Inside Sales/Warehouse Material Handler position at our branch in Edmonton. This is a unique dual-role where the individual will work in both the sales and operations sides of the business.
This position will play a key role on the sales desk selling building materials to our clients including general contractors, home builders, and drywall, insulation and roofing contractors and will also be expected to operate a forklift and work in the yard/warehouse in all weather conditions to load and unload building materials.
INSIDE SALES (approx 70%)
Greet customers, answer phone, respond to emails on the sales desk
Provide assistance to customers through quoting and ordering process
Produce packing slips for pick-up, delivered, or direct transactions
Advise customers on use and care of merchandise
Maintain customer files
Execute the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) process
Keep up to date with recent products
Accept payment as outlined by Sales Policy and Procedure Manual
Organize showroom merchandise
Review stocking levels and ensure quantity is reasonable
Design Showroom for client purchase optimization
Complete opening and closing tasks
Other duties as directed by the Branch/Operations Manager
WAREHOUSE MATERIAL HANDLER (approx 30%)
Operate propane forklift to load and unload building materials
Pick orders
Serve pick up customers
Maintain high level of communication with Sales desk
Rotate inventory as required
Prepare inventory for productive cycle counts
Maintain clean warehouse setting
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma
Previous experience in sales
Able to lift up to 75lbs including drywall
Excellent customer service
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
Must submit a satisfactory criminal record check
