Our organization is a community-based, non-profit society providing independent housing for seniors and individuals with disabilities. We are seeking an energetic, team-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team on a part time or full-time basis (24–35 hours per week).

Position Overview

Reporting to the Operations Coordinator, the Maintenance Technician ensures the building’s interior and exterior are well-maintained through timely repairs and upkeep. This role also includes responding to emergency maintenance calls during work hours and participating in an on-call evening rotation.

Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and safety checks.
Complete minor and major repairs in buildings and equipment.
Repair doors, locks, and closets.
Basic plumbing fixtures.
Maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
Respond promptly to tenant maintenance requests.
Perform basic landscaping and general upkeep tasks.
Assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements




Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred.
Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs.
Proficiency with hand and power tools, drywall repair, and painting.
Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Valid Class 5 driver’s license required.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and bondable.

Job Type: Full-time to part time, Permanent.
Schedule: Day shift; on-call evening rotation.
