2027 Winter Student Program- Finance Student Position Number 1359 Classification Term # of openings 1

Do you enjoy working with numbers, analyzing financial information, and supporting business operations? Can you see yourself compiling reports, assisting with accounting and accounts payable activities, and helping finance teams meet critical reporting deadlines? As a Finance Student, you will gain hands‑on experience across Accounting, Finance Operations, FP&A;, and Billing functions while developing practical skills that support informed business decisions.

What you will be doing!

- Entering and processing invoices while resolving invoice-related inquiries in a timely manner.
- Generating financial reports and supporting the delivery of accurate financial information.
- Verifying transactions for compliance with financial policies, procedures, and approval authorities.
- Supporting and backing up team members as required to ensure continuity of financial operations.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What we are looking for:

- Education
- Currently enrolled at a university of recognized standing in a relatable program such as Commerce or Business Administration with focus in Finance / Accounting.

- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Interpersonal or technical skills, knowledge or abilities required.




- Functional Knowledge of Accounting Processes.
- Proactive and positive approach to business and business strategy/ solutions.

- Demonstrated analytical, planning, and problem solving skills.
- Requires strong communication, planning, analytical, organizational and priority skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office products (excel, word and outlook) is a requirement.

- Ability to identify efficiencies / improvements.

- Security Clearance Eligibility Required

- Reliability Status , which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”

Working Conditions:

- Working schedule: Five (5) days per week, seven and a half (7.5) hours per day for a thirty-seven and a half (37.5) hour work week.

This position is offered on a fully remote basis, allowing you to work from home anywhere in Canada. You’ll collaborate virtually with a dynamic team across CNL sites, helping to advance Canada’s clean energy and environmental goals from your home office.
