We're seeking a contractor ESL teacher to deliver engaging lessons to students of varying levels and ages, both in-person at our Calgary location and online. This includes general ESL instruction as well as CELPIP and IELTS exam preparation. This role is ideal for an educator who thrives on a versatile schedule and enjoys evening and weekend teaching hours.

Responsibilities
Deliver ESL lessons to individuals and/or small groups, both online and in-person
Provide CELPIP and IELTS test preparation, covering all four skill areas (listening, reading, writing, speaking)
Adapt lesson plans to suit different proficiency levels and learning goals
Track student progress and provide constructive feedback
Maintain a professional, encouraging, and inclusive classroom environment
Communicate effectively with students, parents (where applicable), and centre staff

Requirements
Bachelor's degree (Education, English, Linguistics, or related field preferred)
Proven experience teaching ESL/EFL to adult and/or youth learners




Experience teaching CELPIP and/or IELTS preparation strongly preferred
TESOL/TEFL/CELTA certification (or equivalent) preferred
Comfortable teaching both in-person and via online platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.)
Robust communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable availability during evenings and weekends
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Evenings and weekends (specific hours to be discussed based on availability)
Flexible, contract-based hours

Online: Remote-friendly for virtual sessions
