Job Title: Dishwasher / Kitchen Prep

Location: Big Swell Westcoast Eatery – Victoria, BC

Job Type: Part-Time (Weekdays & Weekends) & Full time (Weekdays & Weekends)

Position Overview:

We are looking for a reliable & hardworking dishwasher to support our kitchen team. This role is critical to maintaining cleanliness, organization, & flow during service. There is also an opportunity for extra hours doing kitchen food prep. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work & understands that a clean kitchen is the backbone of a successful restaurant.

Responsibilities:
Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, & kitchen equipment efficiently
Maintain cleanliness of dish pit, kitchen floors, & work areas
Assist with basic kitchen cleaning tasks (garbage, recycling, mopping)




Ensure proper sanitation standards are followed at all times a. Dishwasher chemical testing & level monitoring/refilling
Support kitchen team with food prep as needed during busy periods

Requirements:
FOODSAFE Level 1 is required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong work ethic & attention to detail - this is essential
Detail orientated when focused on cleanliness & food safety
Ability to stand for extended periods & lift up to 50 lbs
Dependable & punctual
Previous kitchen experience is an asset, but not required

Schedule:
Evening shifts primarily (including evening & weekends)
Flexible schedule based on availability

Compensation:
Hourly wage: $19.00 - $22.00

Summer season bonus program (May – September)
