Duties
Perform qualified grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping to meet each dog’s specific needs and owner preferences
Assess each pet’s coat condition, skin health, and temperament to tailor grooming techniques accordingly
Handle dogs safely and compassionately, ensuring a stress-free experience for every pet
Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, adhering to sanitation standards and safety protocols
Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming requests and provide expert advice on pet care
Assist with heavy lifting of grooming equipment or large dogs as needed to ensure safety and efficiency
Keep detailed records of services provided,



customer preferences, and any health concerns observed during grooming

Experience
Prior experience in dog grooming is preferred
Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with pet owners and handle inquiries professionally
Comfortable handling dogs of different breeds, sizes and temperaments
Patient, gentle and safety-conscious
Knowledge of animal behavior, grooming techniques, and safety procedures is advantageous
A genuine love for animals combined with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills

A grooming portfolio or photographs of previous work are strongly preferred.

Compensation:

50% of actual grooming service price collected before HST on completed grooming services (including add-ons), with 100% of tips. Maison provides the space, utilities, booking/POS system, reception, marketing, supplies and tools, salon infrastructure, laundry/cleaning support and customer acquisition.

Pay: $17.60-$40.22 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 40.0 per week
