OVERALL PURPOSE:

To participate in the secure, accurate and timely processing of deliveries to meet CANPAR EXPRESS on-time performance standards.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Delivery and Pick-Up of Freight/Packages
Make all reasonable efforts to meet established delivery times
Perform safety checks on trucks before each use
Ensure proper maintenance of truck
Operate truck/van as required
Scanner usage
Customer service
Be able to lift heavy packages/freight as required
Other duties as assigned and as detailed within the CBA & business agreement

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
High School education
Valid provincial driver’s license
Must have a clean driver’s abstract
Able to lift 70 lbs
Must own or be willing to obtain own vehicle that meets company specifications (One Ton cube truck)




Must be able to perform repetitive tasks (getting in and out of truck/van, lifting/delivering packages/freight by hand and/or with use of hand cart
Flexible to work routes assigned
