Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Red Seal Refrigeration/ HVAC technician to lead our EDMONTON maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration systems across our facilities. This role requires a solid mechanical background, proficiency with HVAC systems, and the ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals. The Refrigeration Mechanic will ensure all refrigeration equipment operates efficiently and safely, supporting the overall operational excellence of our organization.

Ideal candidates will require stong leadership skills with a desire to maintain and forge relationships both internally and externally with our client base. The experienced candidate we seek requires the ability excell with problem solving challenges and work well with all members of our service team.

Duties
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial refrigeration systems
Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues before system failure
Perform repairs on HVAC units, boilers, and related mechanical equipment
Use schematics and technical manuals to diagnose problems accurately
Weld or perform other construction-related tasks as needed for system repairs or upgrades




Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure safety standards are upheld during all operations
Assist in the installation of new refrigeration units and related mechanical systems
Weekly on call rotation

Requirements
Proven experience as a Refrigeration Mechanic or similar role with a solid understanding of HVAC, appliance repair, and mechanical systems
Will consider apprentices
Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams accurately
Robust mechanical knowledge with experience in maintenance and repair of refrigeration equipment
Familiarity with industry safety standards and protocols
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Relevant certifications or licenses related to HVAC or refrigeration systems are preferred but not mandatory RED SEAL.
Valid drivers license .

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $72.50-$75.00 per hour
