Controller — Dual-Entity Accounting Leader

Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada

Full-Time | Reports to CFO / General Manager Onsite across two Ontario locations, with regular travel between them

THE PROSPECT

Solestra Group has two affiliated operating manufacturing companies based across two sites in the Greater Toronto Area. They are seeking an experienced, hands-on Controller to own accounting and financial operations for both organizations. This is a high-visibility role for a finance leader who wants full ownership of the accounting function for a multi-entity, cross-border (Canada/U.S.) business, working closely with senior leadership on budgeting, reporting, and financial strategy.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Own budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting across two affiliated companies.
Consolidate CAD-denominated financial results and convert to USD for group-level reporting.
Manage day-to-day accounting operations — AP/AR, general ledger, and month-end close — using an ERP
system and QuickBooks Online.
Build and maintain Power BI dashboards to support financial analysis and leadership decision-making.




Ensure compliance with US GAAP as well as Canadian federal and provincial accounting and tax requirements (CRA).organizations.

WHAT YOU BRING
Degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA preferred.
Several years of progressive accounting/controllership experience, ideally spanning multiple entities or a
cross-border (Canada/U.S.) workplace.
Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Power BI, and ERP systems.
Working knowledge of US GAAP and Canadian accounting and tax requirements.
Robust communicator who can manage competing priorities and deadlines across two organizations.
Willingness to travel between two Ontario locations, plus periodic leadership offsites.
