We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Manager for our client s manufacturing/fabrication facility located close to Duncan, BC.

Pay - 100K to 110K

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the structural steel fabrication shop.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of fabricators, fitters, welders, and support personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
Ensure all fabrication work complies with CWB, CSA, and AISC standards as well as project specifications.
Plan and oversee production schedules, material handling, and resource allocation to optimize productivity.
Collaborate with Project Management, Quality Control, and Engineering teams to maintain accuracy, quality, and timely project delivery.
Monitor daily and weekly production performance and prepare detailed progress reports.
Foster a strong culture of safety and ensure adherence to WorkSafeBC and company safety regulations.
Oversee employee training, development, and performance evaluations to build a skilled and motivated team.
Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning for shop personnel.




Review and interpret fabrication drawings, identifying potential challenges and implementing solutions before production.
Coordinate equipment maintenance and ensure smooth and productive facility operations.
Promote continuous improvement initiatives in productivity, quality, and workplace safety.

Qualifications
5 10 years of experience in structural steel fabrication, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management position.
Solid understanding of CWB, CSA W47.1/W59, and AISC fabrication and welding standards.
Proficient in reading and interpreting fabrication and erection drawings.
Proven leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Tekla PowerFab or similar fabrication management software is a solid asset.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
CWB Supervisory or Level 1 certification is considered an asset.
