CARPENTRY/CABINETRY HELPER

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Elite Iron Design Inc. is looking for a reliable Carpentry / Cabinetry Helper to join our team in Mississauga. We are looking for someone with hands-on experience or familiarity with woodworking, cabinetry, furniture, or similar carpentry work.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:
Assist with the fabrication, assembly, installation, maintenance and repair of wood components, including stair treads, landings and handrails
Operate woodworking machinery and use hand and power tools to cut, shape, sand and prepare wood components
Safely use and maintain carpentry tools and equipment
Read and follow measurements, drawings and project specifications
Complete assigned tasks efficiently while meeting project deadlines
Collaborate with other team members, including architectural/drafting and production staff
Maintain a clean, organized and secure work area
Assist with material handling and other shop duties as required
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Please note: This is a custom stair/woodworking position. This is NOT a framing position.

SKILLS
Basic knowledge of wood materials and woodworking techniques
Ability to use hand and power tools safely




Ability to take and follow measurements accurately
Attention to detail and quality workmanship
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Good organization and time management
Willingness to learn and develop new skills.

REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience in carpentry, cabinetry, woodworking, or a related field is an asset
Comfortable using hand and power tools
Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
Able to work Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM; occasional weekend availability may be required.
Able to reliably commute to our shop in Mississauga for a 7:00 AM start
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Language: Basic English required; Spanish is an asset

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Versatile language requirement:
French not required
