Job Summary

Join our energetic Truck and Trailer Shop as a Welder/Fabricator, where you'll be at the forefront of building, repairing, and customizing heavy-duty trucks and trailers. This energetic role offers the opportunity to apply your welding expertise and mechanical skills in a fast-paced environment. You will work with a variety of tools and techniques to fabricate and repair various truck, trailers and associated equipment . Duties
Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and Stick welding to assemble and repair truck frames, trailers, and related components.
Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication. When available
Use plasma cutters, air arc, hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to shape and assemble metal parts.
Safely use a forklift to gather material and position for assembly
Measure materials with calipers and other precision tools to maintain tolerances.
Fabricate structural supports, and custom parts for trucks and trailers in accordance with specifications.
Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to safety protocols during manufacturing processes.

Qualifications




Proven experience in welding (MIG and Stick) within a manufacturing or shop setting
Mechanical knowledge of truck/trailer systems, schematics, and assembly techniques an asset but not required.
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, calipers, and schematics reading.
Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for measurements and blueprint interpretation.
Familiarity with operating a forklift safely
Robust understanding of welding safety standards and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Prior experience in the Transport industry an asset but not necessary
