General Farm Worker – Dairy Farm

Larch Grove Farm Ltd. is seeking a reliable general farm worker to assist with daily operations on our dairy farm, milking approximately 350 Holstein cows using six DeLaval robotic milking systems.

Main duties:
Feed and water cattle and calves, distribute feed and clean water troughs.
Assist with robotic milking, bring cows to the robots and clean milking equipment and surrounding areas.
Scrape pens and alleys, remove manure, spread fresh bedding and maintain clean livestock facilities.
Observe cattle for signs of illness or injury and report concerns to the supervisor.
Assist with calf care and safely move and handle cattle.
Operate farm equipment for feeding, bedding and barn cleaning as trained.




Assist with routine maintenance of farm buildings, fences and equipment.
Assist with seasonal fieldwork and feed storage as required.
Follow farm safety, biosecurity and animal welfare procedures.

Requirements:
Dairy farm experience is an asset. Applicants must be comfortable working with cattle, able to perform physical farm work, follow instructions and work independently and as part of a team. Reliability and attention to animal care and cleanliness are essential. Work includes weekends and holidays on a scheduled basis.

Pay: $16.35-$19.42 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
