You'll own the day-to-day accounting, AP, AR, payroll support, bank and credit card reconciliations, month end close, etc. But the person we want is going to look at the numbers and ask why. Why did material costs move this month? What does a unit actually cost us to produce? Where are we wasting time or money? You'll work directly with our Controller on cost analysis, reporting to the owners, and improving how we do things.

What you'll do
Run the full bookkeeping cycle and keep the books clean and current
Dig into costs, margins and trends and tell us what you're seeing
Help build and improve reports, reconciliations and processes, not just follow them
Step into other parts of the business when needed: purchasing, HR admin, operations, whatever the week calls for
Spot things that are broken or slow and fix them

What we're looking for
Solid accounting fundamentals. You understand debits and credits, accruals and how a balance sheet ties together, not just how to click through software
Experience with cost analysis, or a solid interest in it and the aptitude to learn quickly
Comfortable in QuickBooks Online, Excel,



and Dext
A go-getter who doesn't wait to be told what to do next
Adaptable. You can change direction without getting flustered
Curious. You want to understand the whole business, not just your corner of it
A diploma or degree in accounting, or equivalent experience

Part time, 3 days a week, in our Kelowna office with the potential for more hours as we progress
