Riverside Childcare Centre-Westwood Location is seeking a caring, dependable, and experienced Infant & Toddler Educator to join our Westwood team as a part-time Lead Teacher.

The ideal candidate is confident leading an Infant/Toddler classroom, supporting other educators, and creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children.

Position Details
Position: Part-Time Infant & Toddler Lead Teacher
Location: Riverside Childcare Centre – Westwood, Port Coquitlam
Wage: $22–$23 per hour, based on experience, plus applicable ECE Wage Enhancement (ECE-WE)
Schedule: Part-time; specific days and hours will be discussed during the interview
Start date: As soon as possible

Responsibilities
Lead the daily operation of the Infant/Toddler classroom
Plan and implement age-appropriate, play-based activities
Create a warm, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Support children’s physical, emotional, social, and developmental needs
Manage daily feeding, diapering, toileting, and nap routines
Observe and document children’s learning and development
Guide and collaborate with other classroom educators
Maintain positive and qualified communication with families




Ensure the classroom remains clean, secure, and organized
Follow BC Child Care Licensing Regulations and centre policies

Qualifications
Valid BC Early Childhood Educator Certificate
Valid BC Infant and Toddler Educator Certificate
Previous experience in an Infant/Toddler program is required
Lead-teacher or supervisory experience is strongly preferred
Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
Clear criminal record check
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Reliable, patient, professional, and passionate about working with young children
