Reporting to the the Quality Assurance Supervisor, the QA Technician will assume the following responsibilities:
Performing daily monitoring and verification tasks as outlined in HACCP and GMPs.
Conducting environmental monitoring and product lab samples for testing.
Inspecting product on arrival, in inventory and prior to shipping.
Preparing QA inspection reports and recommendations.
Verifying weight, temperature, size, package and pallet integrity of product.
Reporting food safety and quality problems to the Quality Assurance/Plant Manager.
Participating and assisting Quality Assurance Supervisor when needed.
Completing special projects and other duties as assigned by management.
Reporting non-compliances and make thorough decisions on corrective actions.
Perform other duties as needed.
Experience/Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in the food processing industry.
Knowledge of Food Safety and Quality Assurance practices.
Excellent knowledge of regulatory and quality system requirements- HACCP, Good Manufacturing Process (GMP), and GFSI.
Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Ability to work flexible hours, to work alone or with a minimal supervision.
Ability to work in a rapid paced, high pressure, challenging environment.
Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrate analytical, problem solving and time management skills.
Ability to work autonomously and part of a collaborative team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
