Job Summary

We are an accounting services firm based in British Columbia and we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will support our clients in their day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial processes. Your enthusiasm for numbers and proactive approach will contribute to maintaining the integrity of our client's financial data. Duties
Assist with bookkeeping tasks using accounting software such as QuickBooks to record financial transactions accurately.
Support accounts payable processes by verifying invoices, processing payments, and maintaining vendor records.
Assist with managing and coding company expense reports and matching to appropriate receipts
Perform account reconciliations for bank statements, credit cards and general ledger accounts to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Aid in preparing financial reports, including account analysis and budgeting support for various departments.
Assist with the preparation of sales tax returns.




Support payroll processing activities.

Requirements
Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Experience working with software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Plooto, Hubdoc or Dext is preferred.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to perform bank reconciliation and account analysis efficiently.
Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bookkeeping procedures.
Strong Excel skills are preferred.
Effective English communication skills (written and spoken)
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration (candidates who have almost completed their degree will also be considered)
Candidates located in British Columbia, Canada are preferred
