Out-of-School Care Educator & Class 4 Driver

We are looking for a responsible, caring, and reliable Out-of-School Care Educator & Class 4 Driver to join our team.

This position works with elementary school-aged children, approximately 5–10 years old, in our Out-of-School Care program.

Responsibilities:
Pick up children from the elementary school after school
Safely operate a 24-passenger bus and transport children from the school to our childcare centre
Supervise and care for children throughout the OOSC program
Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities, games, and learning experiences
Support children with daily routines, transitions, and positive behaviour
Maintain a safe, positive, and welcoming setting
Follow all childcare, transportation, and safety policies and procedures
Maintain accurate attendance and transportation records
Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and school personnel




Work collaboratively with other educators and support the daily operation of the OOSC program

Qualifications – Required:
Valid Class 4 Driver’s Licence – mandatory
Valid Responsible Adult, ECEA, or ECE certification/qualification
Valid First Aid certification
Experience working with elementary school-aged children is an asset
Clean driving record and strong commitment to child safety
Reliable, responsible, and punctual
Comfortable working with children ages 5–10
Valuable communication and teamwork skills

Significant: This position requires both driving and childcare responsibilities. The successful candidate must be comfortable safely transporting children in a 24-passenger bus and working as an OOSC educator.

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 per week
