Job Posting: Weekly Household Helper (Meal Prep Housekeeping)

Location: Burke Mountain, Coquitlam, BC
Schedule: Weekly, ideally Tuesdays, 8:30am–4:30pm (8 hours) — open to discussing a different weekday if needed
Pay: $25–28/hour, depending on experience
Type: Part time, recurring, live-out

About the Role
We're a family in the Burke Mountain area of Coquitlam looking for a reliable, detail-oriented helper to join our household once a week. The role combines meal preparation and light housekeeping, and is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking from provided recipes/instructions and takes pride in keeping a home clean and tidy.

Our toddler will be in daycare most of the day, and our dog will also be in daycare on the day you're here — so you'll largely have the space to yourself to focus on the tasks at hand.

Responsibilities

Meal Preparation (ingredients provided/pre-purchased — no grocery shopping required)
Prepare meals for the week based on our instructions/recipes
Weekdays: breakfast and dinner
Weekends: 2 breakfasts, 1 lunch, 1 dinner
Comfortable following specific recipes and dietary instructions




Proper food storage and labeling for the week ahead

Housekeeping
Vacuuming
Cleaning kitchen counters and surfaces
Cleaning washrooms
Other light tidying as needed

What We're Looking For
Experience with home cooking and meal prep
Experience with general housekeeping/cleaning
Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Comfortable working independently once instructions are given
Comfortable in a home with a young child (though overlap will be minimal) and a dog (also typically out of the house during visits)
References required

Details
Weekly commitment, ideally Tuesdays, 8:30am–4:30pm (day is open to discussion)
$25–28/hour based on experience
All ingredients and cleaning supplies provided
Paid trial visit offered before committing to an ongoing arrangement, so we can make sure it's a positive fit for both sides
