Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess robust leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, especially in Japanese and Korean cuisine. And a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences. This role involves supervising kitchen operations, managing food preparation, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. As a key member of our restaurant management team, the Chef will oversee daily kitchen activities, lead a team of culinary professionals, and maintain a welcoming environment for guests.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure effective food preparation and service
Oversee all aspects of food handling, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
Manage food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations
Develop menus in collaboration with management, incorporating creative dishes and seasonal ingredients
Train and mentor team members to enhance their culinary skills and service efficiency
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless serving experiences for guests
Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs
Monitor kitchen operations to uphold cleanliness,
organization, and safety standards
Ensure timely preparation of dishes during peak hours while maintaining quality
Qualifications
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management
Supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry
Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate staff
Background in hospitality or restaurant experience preferred
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Exceptional communication skills for effective coordination with team members and management
Knowledge of food handling procedures and serving techniques
Demonstrated ability to innovate in menu development while maintaining high standards of quality
