About the Role





The Labour Relations Advisor is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the CUPE, local 3338 and the Poly Party collective agreements, and for assisting with the administration of the TSSU collective agreement and APSA policies and procedures. The incumbent of this position provides information and advice to the line organization and other members of the Human Resources staff on collective agreement interpretations and applications, as well as issues such as the disciplinary process; responses to absenteeism; and responses to grievances. The Advisor participates in some of the collective agreement negotiations with the Unions; and acts as a spokesperson for the University on behalf of the Director Labour Relations. The incumbent of the position is also responsible for the collection/generation and analysis of some of the information required for grievances, arbitrations, and negotiations.
