Comox Valley Paw Spa is a locally owned grooming salon getting ready to move into our new space in Courtenay this October, and I’m looking for a kind, reliable groomer to join our team!

My goal is to create a calm and welcoming environment where the comfort of each dog comes first, and groomers can take pride in providing high-quality care.

I’m looking for someone who genuinely loves working with dogs, takes pride in their work, and wants to be part of a positive and supportive salon environment.

We’re looking for an experienced groomer who is confident working independently and takes pride in providing quality care. However, if you’re newer to grooming and still developing your skills and confidence, you’re also encouraged to apply! I’m happy to provide mentorship and support to the right person as they continue to grow

Compensation

Commission-based pay up to 50%, based on experience and skill level. Hourly pay available for newer groomers requiring additional training and mentorship.

About our grooming style

While we aren’t a strictly one-on-one salon, appointments are structured so that groomers can focus on the dogs in their care without being expected to juggle an excessive number of appointments at once. We aim to maintain a relaxed, spa-like atmosphere and put the comfort of the dogs first.
